We believe in change

Lesedi la Sehoole Foundation is a South African Non-Profit Company (NPC) based in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, South Africa. The name directly translates in English to: “Light of The Sehole (family) Foundation”. This is what we ultimately set out to do – bring light into an otherwise ‘dim’ world around us. Operating under its MGL Sehoole Projects since 2018, it was since formally established in 2023.

We pride ourselves in giving back to the greater community of Gauteng through the participating in programmes that help uplift the lives of many people around us.

Some of the programmes we have ran since 2018 are:

  • Food Kitchens

  • School Shoe Drives

  • Blanket Drives

  • Potable Water Drives

  • Sporting Days

  • Environmental Clean-ups

  • Sanitary Towel Drives

  • GBV (Gender-Based Violence) Campaigns

  • Disabled Persons Campaigns

  • Cash and Instrument Donations to Schools

  • Any Other Campaigns Alongside Other NPCs and NGOs

OUR Vision

To achieve some semblance of improved life through ‘lending a hand’ and empowering primarily the children, youth, people living with disabilities, and the schools in our communities.

Clean, safe drinking Water

South Africa has been experiencing an outbreak of the cholera disease across various provinces since the beginning of 2023. We have since run several potable water drives in areas like Hammanskraal to teach people about how to treat water, and signs to look out for in case they or people around them consume contaminated water. Clean water is a basic right!

FOOD SECURITY

Food security and helping those who are vulnerable is a core objective of our foundation to try and remedy where we can. The numbers are truly startling.

Over 20.6% of the South Africans in our sample were socially vulnerable, and 20.4% food insecure. This amounts to about 7.8 million people out of our sample of 39.6 million people.” – The Conversation, February 2023

Education

The issues we focus on in our education sector pertain to the safe transportation of our children, how they’re clothed, and exposure to cutting-edge tools to help build an enlightened, and less burdened future generation. We accept all manner of donations so please don’t be shy to contact us!

Change a life today

As long as poverty, injustice & inequality persist, none of us can truly rest. It doesn’t take much to change a life, Get in touch today and start making the difference.
